1st batch made how to make batches with first batch

According to directions I can make the first batch, cook for 10-24 hours. Mine took 16 hours.
Now for second batch it says I can take 1-3 TBLS of the above mixture and another 1/4 gallon of milk and incubate 3-6 hours.
However do I warm milk and previous batch, or how do I mix the ingredients together?

Simply follow the directions.
Prepare the milk(boil it, cool it down) and then add 1-3 tbsp of the previous batch.
You do not need to warm the previous batch or the yogurt from it. The main goal is to introduce activated bacteria to the new batch of milk. Then stir well and incubate for 3-6 hours. Then refrigerate and then repeat.
