Some people start with a sachet and reculture for 3-6 months and, if they don’t get tired, longer than that.
Some customers report more than 10 months of back-to-back recultivations(yes, using a single sachet to start). Others prefer to change the sachets after every few recultivations.
The shared moment is that all those use whole dairy milk with minimal processing and no preservatives and additives. They boil the milk and cool it down before adding the sachet, then pour boiling water over containers and utensils before use. They incubate the first batch longer and then incubate the recultured batch for 3-6 hours. They keep clean and keep using traditional ingredients.
